Graduate Teachers – Programs and Services

Throughout my teaching experience, I have delighted in the opportunity to be a mentor to graduates. I love helping others and having once been a graduate myself I empathise with the challenges and juggling act that is the teaching profession! It can take a while to get used to and confident with, which is where I can help. I will explicitly teach you content and act a mentor, responding to any questions or queries you have.

Since graduating and commencing work as a classroom teacher my experience in helping others has included but is not limited to:

  • Co-ordinating the pre-service program at my school.
  • Readily offering to have pre-service teachers in my class.
  • Mentoring graduate teachers.
  • Assisting countless work experience students.
  • Presenting at school readiness and information nights.
  • Leading a team of teachers in curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Observing and providing feedback to colleagues on teaching practices.
  • Modelling efficient and effective teaching practices to colleagues and pre-service teachers.
  • Assisting colleagues in leading challenging discussions with parents.

What I offer:

  • I provide small group (4-6 participants), 45-minute sessions per week – $15 per participant per session (please read T and Cs)
  • I provide 1:1, 45-minute sessions per week – $60 per session (please read T and Cs)
  • An opportunity for you to connect with other graduates in the local area.
  • Classroom management strategies – what to use, when to use it and how to gain long term success!
  • Modelling of teaching practices
  • Lesson planning advice
  • Organisational tips!
  • Support and practical advice as situations arise.
